What is The Deed Brief, in one sentence?
A short weekly email for real estate investors: what moved this week, one deal broken down in plain math, and the move worth making.
What makes you different?
We optimize for decision power, not hot takes. Every number is dated and traced to a named public source, and every issue ends with something you can act on.
How often do you send it?
Once a week on Tuesdays. Bonus issues only when time-sensitive.
Is it free?
Yes. We may add optional paid deep dives or tools later, but the core Brief stays free.
I’m new to real estate. Will I understand it?
Yes. We write in plain English, and every term we use gets defined in the same issue.
Do you cover my market?
We give national context, then point to metro-level signals (like months of supply). To request a spotlight, Request a Market here. To tell us where you invest, use the Update Preferences link at the bottom of any issue.
Are your sources unbiased?
We favor primary data (Freddie Mac PMMS, U.S. Census, BLS, Realtor.com, Redfin) and add one neutral write-up when helpful.
How do you make money?
Advertising and sponsorships. When an issue carries a sponsor, it is labeled in that issue, and we do not take payment for coverage. If we ever use an affiliate link, it gets labeled the same way.
The Brief itself is free and stays free. If we add an optional paid product later, it will be exactly that: optional.
How do I unsubscribe or change preferences?
Every issue includes one-click Unsubscribe and Update Preferences links at the bottom.
Is this financial advice?
No. It’s education and tools. Confirm rates, taxes, insurance, and local rules with your pros.
